I'd add a button on the challenge screen to bring up a pop-up window that has a number of toggleable options to modify the gameplay of the selected meta in various ways. Adding Return/Frustration updates happiness on the Pokemon's details. This ensures my changes retains compatibility with all existing saved/importable RBY and GSC teams.Ħ. Slight modification of saving/loading teams, Gen 1 & 2 teams save EVs set to 0 and do not save EVs set to 252, and assume no set EVs for a Pokemon means a stat of 252. They are remembered however, and if you set a team with items to an RBY format, then switch it to XYZ, it will restore that last set Ability/Item/Gender/Happiness/Shiny for that Pokemon.ĥ. The GSC teambuilder removes Ability selection, and RBY also removes Item, Gender, Happiness and Shiny. Search now displays original stats for generations before Generation 6.Ĥ. With the new space added, stats now also display Critical Hit Rate as this is an important statistic in RBY. SpA/SpD in the Generation 1 teambuilder is replaced with Spc. Due to Female Pokemon with a 7:1 Male to Female ratio having a limit of 0/1 Attack DVs, the following Pokemon cannot be both Shiny and Female: Aerodactyl, Bayleef, Blastoise, Bulbasaur, Charizard, Charmander, Charmeleon, Chikorita, Croconaw, Cyndaquil, Eevee, Espeon, Feraligatr, Flareon, Ivysaur, Jolteon, Kabuto, Kabutops, Meganium, Omanyte, Omastar, Quilava, Snorlax, Squirtle, Togepi, Togetic, Totodile, Typhlosion, Umbreon, Vaporeon, Venusaur and Wartortle.ģ. Females now limit Attack DVs based on their gender ratio. Shiny Pokemon cannot use any Hidden Power except for Hidden Power Grass and Hidden Power Dragon. Shinies limit Attack DVs to 2/3/6/7/10/11/14/15, HP DVs to 0/8, Speed DVs to 10, Defense DVs to 10 and Special DVs to 10. DVs are properly set for each Hidden Power. Proper implementation of Hidden Powers, Shinies and Gender in GSC in the teambuilder. DVs have a range between 0 and 15, HP DVs are not selectable and automatically calculated from the other DVs, and SpD EVs and DVs are linked to SpA DVs in Gen 2, while in the Gen 1 teambuilder there is only a single Spc DV stat.Ģ. IVs have been replaced with DVs when teambuilding for Gen 1 or 2. If EVs are 0, they show up on the Stat Graph, if they are at 252 they do not show up (as they are the Gameboy defaults). When adding Pokemon to a team set to Gen 1 or Gen 2 format, all EVs will automatically be set to 252. Showdown does not allow the users to select their EV/IVs for Gen 1 & 2. This covers a massive amount of changes for teambuilding in RBY and GSC that I'll have submitted to the Showdown devs soon.ġ.
